[Q] Surtsey: hm. You might want to run htmlspecialchars_dec ode() on the text that goes into the fields when you edit a post.
[Q] Surtsey: I branched this discussion into a thread in the forum. Maybe it'll stimulate some interesting conversations.
[Q] Surtsey: I think PHP's also got annoying scope issues, no namespaces worth mentioning and it's certainly about half the speed of Python for regular tasks.
[Q] Surtsey: Python is most certainly superior to PHP. It points out just how immature and rigid PHP's OOP layer is.
[Q] tier lieder: PHP, python, ruby, I don't think any is significantly superior, the only advantage is in being able to work quickly and effectively using what you know.

[Q] Surtsey: Quite right. I must applaud tier's removal of the note timestamps, though, as it gives a sly impression people actually come here on a regular basis.
